SUMMARY Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair functions related to facilities, equipment and machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads and interprets documents such as operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, blue prints and electrical drawings.
Trouble shoots, repairs and maintains mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components on equipment and machinery.
Repairs and maintains facilities. (Must have a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, construction etc.)
Initiates purchase orders for repair/maintenance parts.
Follows all safety rules and regulations.
Occasionally requires long/unusual hours, weekends and holiday hours.
Able to work outside in the weather as needed.
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 yrs related experience and/or training in an industrial environment.
Demonstrated knowledge to trouble shoot, repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components on equipment and machinery.
Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and construction trades.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blue prints and electrical drawings.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Good Math Skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license and qualify to drive a company vehicle.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
